Since 2011, within BNP Paribas Fortis, he has coordinated the roadmap of projects that stimulate the development of electronic payments. Nicholas is a payments regulatory subject matter expert with the FCA’s Payments Supervisory Department, providing advice and guidance on the rules and regulations for payments and electronic money in the UK and Europe. He has previously worked within the FCA Policy team, focused on the development of PSD2, the EBA RTS and Open Banking. In addition, Nicholas has spent time leading a team within industry at a large high-street firm, advising on the implementation of PSD2, Strong Customer Authentication, Open Banking and a digital transformation programme Nicholas brings his practical understanding of the operational challenges facing firms as they work to comply with the requirements of strong customer authentication and wider payments regulation.
